Objectives
We work with you to upgrade your ePO server and database to the most current version, deploy new agents to a pilot group of your workstations and servers, and upgrade a pilot group of workstations to the latest version of McAfee® VirusScan®. We also train your team members to use the new ePO features, and discuss effective strategies for rolling out upgraded ePO agents across your enterprise.

ePO Strategy Development
We work with your team to develop a deployment strategy for your ePO upgrade.
- Strategy for the complete upgrade rollout of ePO to all desktops and servers within your enterprise
- Desktop security policy development
- Strategy for agent updates to minimize the impact on network and desktop performance
- ePO report interpretation and scheduling
- Use of notification, system compliance profiler, and rogue system detection
- Outbreak containment procedures
Upgrade Deployment and Configuration
We deploy, configure, and test a pilot upgrade to the latest version of ePO, customized to your requirements. We also train your team members to customize, tune, and maintain ePO.
- Upgrade your ePO server to the latest version
- Deploy upgraded ePO agents to your pilot network
- Test the ePO software agent distribution method on your systems (up to 50 workstations and up to five file servers running VirusScan)
- Test virus detection policy enforcement on your systems where agent is installed (up to fifty workstations and up to five file servers)
- Review existing VirusScan policies; design policies appropriate to the new product
- Rollout upgraded agents and VirusScan
- Configure VirusScan to provide emergency updates
- Configure ePO for centralized reporting for installed McAfee Security products with ePO agents (desktop workstations and file servers running VirusScan and McAfee® NetShield®, McAfee® GroupShield® for Microsoft® Exchange, McAfee® GroupShield for Lotus® Domino®, e500 appliance)
- Configure ePO to receive and distribute automatic DAT file, engine updates, regular product updates, and patches
- Configure ePO to enforce customized desktop security policies
- Configure anti-spyware
Training
We train up to two of your team members to install, configure and manage ePO.
