Consumer Endpoint Security


After consistently improving protection and total scores throughout 2013, McAfee Internet Security achieved a perfect 18 out of 18 in the July-August 2014 AV-Test for consumer endpoint. It has scored 5.5 or 6.0 out of 6.0 in protection since the November-December 2013 test. McAfee Internet Security consistently receives top scores for protection, usability, and performance.

McAfee Internet Security has received certification in the last 21 AV-Test consumer endpoint tests since October 2011.

In February 2014, McAfee Internet Security achieved 100% in the NSS Labs Consumer EPP Comparative Analysis Socially Engineered Malware test. McAfee Internet Security was in the leading position as it detected and blocked more malware from reaching the endpoint than any other vendor.

Enterprise Endpoint Security


In the May-June 2014 AV-Test Enterprise Endpoint test, McAfee VirusScan Enterprise scored a near-perfect 17.0 out of 18.0. It has scored 5.0 or more out of 6.0 in protection since the September-October 2013 test. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise consistently receives high scores for protection, usability, and performance.

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise with ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) has received AV-Test certification in all 22 tests since they began in August 2011.

Data Center Intrusion Prevention Systems


NSS Labs published its Data Center IPS Comparative Analysis Security Value Map (SVM) in February 2014. McAfee Network Security Platform was 99.6% effective in blocking exploits, the leading security technology effectiveness rate of the four IPS solutions tested by NSS Labs. In addition, McAfee Network Security Platform was effective against all evasion techniques tested.
