McAfee Inc. Appoints Industry Veteran to Lead Worldwide Human Resources

Former EMC Executive Joins McAfee's Management Team to Help Build Upon its Strong Leadership and Corporate Culture

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ McAfee Inc. (NYSE: MFE) today announced it has appointed Joseph Gabbert as executive vice president of human resources. In this role, Gabbert will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of worldwide human resources, including employee recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, change management, employee relations, community development and mergers and acquisitions activities. He will report directly to David DeWalt, president and chief executive officer of McAfee® and will be part of McAfee's core management team.

Before coming to McAfee, Gabbert held a variety of senior leadership roles at notable technology companies across the United States and Europe, including EMC, Cadence Design Systems Inc. and Lexis/Nexis Corporation. Gabbert has been involved in significant mergers and acquisitions activities and change management efforts across the world. In addition, he has had a long history of public service, working at the national, state and local levels in a variety of leadership and volunteer roles.
