Keynotes Offer Unparalleled Learning and Networking Opportunities at FOCUS 09 Security Conference

(NYSE:MFE) today announced its keynote speakers for its annual security conference, FOCUS 09, which will take place October 6-9 at the Venetian and the Palazzo Congress Center in Las Vegas. The event is designed to help organizations get the most out of their security risk management investments and provides four information-packed days of industry-leading keynotes, panel discussions, breakouts and special events.

There will be seven tracks with more than 90 sessions presented by industry visionaries from McAfee, customers, government agencies and partners. Featured keynote speakers at FOCUS 09 are outlined below.
- General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.), 65th Secretary of State and one of the most admired and respected leaders in America today. As part of this keynote, Powell will offer his thoughts on domestic and world affairs, leadership and his vision for tomorrow.
- DeWalt will discuss McAfee's future strategy and explain how it continues to influence the direction of security and maintain its role as the industry leader. He will address the latest trends in cybercrime and malware and discuss McAfee’s approach to safeguarding and protecting its business customers.
- McAfee’s new Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Global Threat Intelligence, Mike Gallagher, will deliver a presentation on global threat intelligence, where he’ll guide attendees through the factors driving monumental change in threat research.
- Prof. Howard A. Schmidt, president and chief executive officer, Information Security Forum Ltd. UK, Joe Majka, global head of Fraud Control and Investigations, Visa, Inc. and Philip Craig Jr., senior research scientist for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory will join George Kurtz, senior vice president and general manager of McAfee’s risk and compliance business unit, for a panel on cybercrime. During this session, these security experts will discuss what is being done and how we can continue to combat cybercrime.
- Chris McClean, research analyst, and Bob Cormier, principal consultant, at independent research firm Forrester Research, Inc. will each lead individual sessions on compliance and a metrics driven approach to measuring return on investment.
