SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 22, 2009 - McAfee, Inc. (NYSE:MFE), the world’s largest dedicated security company, today announced a global partnership with Lenovo. Beginning August 2009, all Windows 7-based Lenovo consumer PCs under the Idea™ brand have been preinstalled with McAfee’s industry-leading security solution McAfee® VirusScan® Plus, thus providing consumers worldwide with powerful protection from the first time they switch on their new PCs. As part of Lenovo and McAfee’s plan to develop a more aggressive partnership in China, McAfee’s anti-virus product suites will also be marketed through Lenovo’s 2,000 retail outlets in China, providing Chinese PC users with easier access to the products.
McAfee VirusScan Plus is a broadly recognized and award-winning security product, shielding PCs from viruses, spyware, and hackers with real security protection for safe Internet surfing. It provides anti-virus, anti-spyware and two-way firewall protection, as well as anti-phishing solutions to protect customers from Internet fraud. By pre-installing McAfee’s security solution, Lenovo is able to provide their consumers with instant and essential PC security protection to create a protected online environment from the moment their new PCs are first turned on. Lenovo also provides its consumers with a "One-Key-Recover" feature, supported by McAfee’s security technologies, which enables users to easily restore data on a crashed system by just the touch of a key, ensuring the security of the computer system and personal information.
Lenovo Idea Product PC buyers can use McAfee VirusScan Plus for free for 90 days to ensure they can start up their new PCs with the peace of mind that comes from essential online protection. Following the 90 day trial period, consumers will be able to purchase extended protection online or at one of the more than 2,000 Lenovo retail stores across China.

Those who purchase the suite will receive a lucky draw card that gives them a chance to have the 49 RMB refunded immediately.
