Plug-and-Play Deployment

Low cost, one-touch deployment for distributed organizations

Until now, deploying, maintaining and upgrading remote network security devices in a distributed environment has meant countless hours of travel time, complexity, and expense. It could take months to fully update your entire infrastructure due to scheduled downtime and the number of devices that needed to be serviced manually. Plug-and-play deployment provides an easier solution to the security and connectivity needs of the multi-location business. We offer secure and resilient connectivity, all centrally managed, from deployments to ongoing maintenance, and upgrades. Plug-and-play deployment provides your multi-location business with connectivity easier, faster, and at lower cost than any other solution on the market, requiring fewer IT personnel and time.

Centrally deploy, manage, and update remote locations
McAfee provides true plug-and-play capabilities for McAfee Next Generation Firewall deployments through the use of an installation cloud service. You no longer need employ local IT staff or spend travel time to install firewalls at your remote locations. Anyone at the remote site can set it up by simply plugging in the Ethernet cable and power cord. After the device is plugged in and online, the installation files are pushed via the secure installation cloud service to the local McAfee Next Generation Firewall. Once the local Next Generation Firewall has installed the installation file, it communicates to the McAfee Security Management Center by the local site’s outbound connection via a secure link. The local Next Generation Firewall will then download the configuration and policies, becoming active without requiring any manual interaction. With plug-and-play deployment, it takes less than five minutes to set up a secure new branch location.

Whenever you make an update to a policy, the McAfee Security Management Center will update every managed device without the need to schedule downtime. This is even more impactful for upgrades and updates, which can be accomplished without any downtime or local staff.

Reduce costs
In a distributed environment with dozens of sites, this massive reduction in complexity and time drastically reduces your costs. With plug-and-play deployment technology, what used to take months can now be accomplished in minutes. No longer do you need to employ IT staff at remote locations or pay travel expenses to service dozens of locations.
