Recent Test Results

On February 17, 2016, Intel Security was awarded the AV-Test Best Usability 2015 Award for McAfee Endpoint Security (V8.8 and V10.0). This award is given annually to the most user-friendly enterprise-class product for the year. The AV-Test Best Usability award is largely based on minimizing false positives while still protecting the endpoint.

McAfee Internet Security has consistently delivered outstanding AV-Test Consumer Endpoint test results. McAfee Internet Security has also received AV-Test Certification in every consumer endpoint test since October 2011. McAfee Internet Security consistently receives top scores for protection, usability, and performance.

McAfee Score in AV-Test Enterprise Endpoint Test

AV-Test

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise has scored 5.0 or more out of 6.0 in protection since the September-October 2013 test. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator has also received AV-Test Certification in every enterprise endpoint test since they began in August 2011. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise consistently receives high scores for protection, usability, and performance.

Average Block Rate for Socially Engineered Malware

McAfee Complete Endpoint Protection—Enterprise achieved a 100% block rate in the NSS Labs Enterprise EPP Comparative Analysis Socially Engineered Malware test published in April 2014. In anti-malware effectiveness tests, McAfee was in the leading position as it blocked more malware from reaching the endpoint than any other vendor.

NSS Labs' 2014 Recommendations for Data Center Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)

NSS Labs published its Data Center IPS Comparative Analysis Security Value Map (SVM) in February 2014. McAfee Network Security Platform was 99.6% effective in blocking exploits, the leading security technology effectiveness rate of the four IPS solutions tested by NSS Labs. In addition, McAfee Network Security Platform was effective against all evasion techniques tested.
