McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux 1.7

問題の詳細

VirusScan Enterprise for Linux 1.7のインストール後、nailsサービスがChecksumエラーで起動に失敗します。
サービスが起動に失敗すると、以下のエラーが発生します。

Error while checking MD5 checksums

インストール中に以下のエラーが出力されます。

McAfeeVSEForLinux-1.7.0-installer: line 596: ed: command not found
McAfeeVSEForLinux-1.7.0-installer: line 604: ed: command not found
McAfeeVSEForLinux-1.7.0-installer: line 1282: ed: command not found

サービスの起動時に以下のメッセージが出力されます。

nails.initd: Error while checking MD5 checksums (/opt/NAI/LinuxShield/etc/md5)
nails.initd: ./Linux-NAI-i686//opt/NAI/LinuxShield/apache/icons/logo_McAfeeSecurity_Lg.gif: No such file or directory
nails.initd: ./Linux-NAI-i686//opt/NAI/LinuxShield/apache/icons/broken.png: No such file or directory

nails.initd: ./Linux-NAI-i686//opt/NAI/LinuxShield/template/libexec/nails-mert: No such file or directory

原因

VirusScan Enterprise for Linux 1.7のインストーラスクリプトが正しく動作する為には、ed エディタがインストールされいる必要があります。 ed エディタがインストールされていない場合は、インストールは上記のエラーとともに完了しますが、MD5 のチェックサムが失敗したとして、VirusScan Enterprise for Linuxのnailsサービスが起動しません。

解決策

VirusScan Enterprise for Linuxをアンインストールし、edエディタをインストールしてからVirusScan Enterprise for Linuxを再インストールしてください。

1. VirusScan Enterprise for Linuxをアンインストールします。アンインストール方法についてはインストールガイドを参照してください。
2. ターミナルを起動し、以下のコマンドでed エディタをインストールします。
   
   rpm -ivh ed-0.2-39.el5_2
   
   注意: ed エディタのパッケージのダウンロード及び、最新版の情報は以下URLを参照ください。
   http://www.gnu.org/software/ed/
3. VirusScan Enterprise for Linuxを再インストールします。
