Comprehensive Network Security Platform
A recent addition to the CSS Corp security portfolio is the McAfee Network Security Platform. The company’s five devices are configured at each network gateway and provide an additional line of defense against threats, such as advanced malware, zero-day attacks, and botnets. CSS Corp has deployed McAfee Network Security Platform sensors protecting network traffic at its gateways globally.

“Besides reducing security threats from the external world and providing real-time alerts on malicious activities, NSP [McAfee Network Security Platform] plays a significant role in our drive to provide high network availability as per our customers’ service-level agreements,” adds Nambi. “Also, NSP [McAfee Network Security Platform] blocks malicious traffic at the gateway level, which leads to more efficient network bandwidth utilization.”

Centralized Management of the Entire Security Infrastructure
With McAfee solutions deployed at CSS Corp’s data centers located worldwide, the company has installed McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) software, a centralized dashboard for controlling and managing the overall security infrastructure. With McAfee ePO software, the CSS security operations center (SOC) team is able to centrally administer security policies in a consistent fashion throughout the global enterprise, and also to monitor antivirus .DAT coverage and endpoint security controls. The SOC team uses McAfee ePO software to manage all of CSS Corp’s deployment of McAfee VirusScan Enterprise software, McAfee Antispyware Enterprise, and all the McAfee Network Security Platform sensors.

McAfee ePO software’s portfolio of reporting tools give the SOC team an at-a-glance view into the status and operation of security controls and the ability to analyze anomalies before they become problems. Pie charts depicting domain and location of .DAT coverage, lists of top infected computers, status reports of DR replications and DLP events, and compliance updates are just a few of the many reports that the SOC team relies on for day-to-day management of the environment.
