McAfee, Inc. Endpoint Encryption Takes Center Stage at Intel Developer Forum
McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC Demoed On Stage by Intel CEO Paul Otellini
SAN FRANCISCO, September 22, 2009 - McAfee, Inc. (NYSE:MFE) Endpoint Encryption for PC was shown running on the Intel® 2010 platform at the Intel Developer Forum. The demo took place during Intel CEO Paul Otellini’s keynote where he showed how the combination of McAfee and Intel –based technologies allow for significant performance improvements.
In future releases, current plans are that McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC will check for the presence of Intel AES-NI (Advanced Encryption Standard – New Instructions) and once identified the combination of technologies is expected to lead to faster run times, thus enhancing PC performance. The Intel 2010 platforms deliver best-in-class performance, manageability, and security.
