MCAFEE GIVES INSPIRATION TO THE CHANNEL

McAfee launches a new Channel campaign in Europe to help resellers increase margins from security solutions

 

 

21 December 2006 – McAfee Inc. today demonstrated its commitment to channel partners in Europe by publishing a book aimed at helping them grow their security businesses and increase margins.

 

The book titled Inspired Selling is part of a wider pan-European campaign aimed at empowering resellers across Europe to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the security market. It will be accompanied by a series of seminars open to McAfee® SecurityAlliance partners and a new microsite.

 

“The security marketplace is rapidly evolving, and we want to ensure that our partners understand the opportunities that this evolution brings,” said Sue Alexander, vice president of Channels in EMEA “As the requirements of businesses move beyond anti-virus and firewalls into more complex security solutions, the opportunity exists for resellers to move toward selling security as a service as well as a business solution.”

 

The ultimate aim of the Inspired Selling book and campaign is to show resellers how to sell security as a business enabler, something their customers need to place at the heart of their approach to IT. It seeks to educate resellers that security should not be viewed as simply a reactive measure, but a fundamental element of ensuring a business can move forward, unhindered by the chaos of security attacks.

 

The book has been written specifically with resellers in mind and will be translated and distributed across Europe.

Channel Seminars

For resellers across Europe, McAfee will be holding a series of seminar events that will be based on the contents of the McAfee Inspired Selling book. The seminars will be an opportunity for resellers to find out about the latest trends in the security market and how they can adapt their security businesses to take advantage of these new trends.

The McAfee Inspired Selling book is also supported by a micro site, http://www.mcafeeinspiredselling.com/, which acts as an additional resource for resellers looking to find out more about the business opportunities from security.  A copy of the book is available from this site.

 

Promotions

The overall campaign will be accompanied by McAfee’s latest promotions aimed at rewarding and incentivising partners and helping them to increase margins on sales of McAfee security products.  This includes a prize draw for a weekend for two in Vienna for all resellers.  Details of this draw can be found on the website, http://www.mcafeeinspiredselling.com.
