
Rees Johnson is responsible for managing McAfee Labs’ portfolio of core security technologies and Global Threat Intelligence systems that are critical to McAfee products. Johnson leads a global team responsible for investigating and defining the road map for anti-malware, email security, mobile security, web security, intrusion prevention, and cloud-based reputation products and services. Johnson and his team also collaborate with McAfee Labs to ensure their core research informs and differentiates the entire McAfee product line.
Prior to this position, Johnson was the senior vice president and general manager of McAfee's Network Security business unit in which he led the engineering, marketing, and sales functions. Johnson previously was responsible for directing and prioritizing McAfee’s research and development efforts. He has also led the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) security platform as vice president of system security and ePO product management. Johnson joined McAfee in 2003 through the acquisition of Entercept (HIPS), where he ran product management. He began his career at Accenture building and supporting enterprise applications for several of the world’s largest telecommunication companies.
Johnson holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with majors in finance, strategic management, and information systems. He is married with four children and enjoys skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
