Market-Leading McAfee IPS, McAfee System and SMB Solutions Continue to Receive Industry Recognition

The McAfee® IntruShield® network intrusion prevention solution and McAfee Active Virus Defense anti-virus suite have both been named Reader Trust Award finalists in the respective categories of "Best Intrusion Solution" and "Best Anti Virus Solution." McAfee Entercept® host intrusion prevention solution, McAfee Active Threat Protection solution, and McAfee VirusScan® ASaP have been selected for the US Excellence Awards in the "Best Enterprise Security Solution," "Best Blended Security Solution" and "Best SOHO Security" categories. Additionally, McAfee, Inc. has been named a Blue Riband Award finalist for the "Best Security Company." Winners of SC Magazine's annual awards will be announced on February 16, 2005 at an awards dinner at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

Now in its ninth year, the SC Magazine annual awards is a global program with participation from developers and users around the world, and has received more than 1,000 award nominations for its annual Global Awards this year in three classifications - Reader Trust Awards, Excellence Awards and Principal Awards. The Reader Trust Awards are comprised of 17 security-focused product categories, and finalists were selected based on judges' deliberations, reader votes and vote validation exercises. The US Excellence Awards are comprised of two categories the Corporate Awards and the Professional Awards.
