McAfee's Small to Large Business Solutions Continue to Receive Industry Recognition

(NYSE: MFE), the leading provider in Intrusion Prevention and Security Risk Management, today announced that McAfee® VirusScan® Enterprise 8.0i and the McAfee Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) Appliance have been selected as finalists for SC Magazine's annual Awards 2006. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i was named the Reader Trust award finalist in the respective categories of "Best Anti-Virus" and "Best Anti-Trojan" and the McAfee SIG Appliance was named "Best SME Security Solution." The winners of SC Magazine's annual awards will be announced on February 14 at an awards dinner at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.
The SC Magazine annual awards is a global program consisting of three separate award programs for the U.S., U.K., and Asia Pacific regions. With participation from developers and users around the world, the SC Magazine Awards has received more than 1300 product and service nominations from more than 330 companies. This is the highest number of nominations in the award program's ten year history.

The Reader Trust Awards are comprised of four security-focused product categories, and finalists were selected based on judges' deliberations, reader votes and vote validation exercises. The "Best Anti-Virus" solution award recognizes the solution that not only offers customers the best protection against viruses, but also product management and support. The "Best Anti-Trojan" award recognizes the product or service that best protects against all types of Trojans. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i, which was named a finalist in both categories, proactively stops and removes malicious software, extends coverage for the new security risks and reduces the cost of managing an outbreak response. The solution addresses the limitations of traditional anti-virus software to mitigate the window of vulnerability and stop threats even without an update.
