DG Technology developed Mainframe Event Acquisition System (MEAS) to help customers collect, in real time, information pertaining to security events, database related events, transaction processing events, and more. The technology enables mainframe customers the ability to collect, store, report, and take action against the data through integration with tools like McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) software. Customers can initiate the appropriate action to report via the ePO console and can email or text message the appropriate user. This helps ensure policy-based security compliance of mainframe events.
The types of mainframe events collected by MEAS include security violations, access to critical resources, database manipulation, transaction processing events, and console events. MEAS also enhances the ability to collect, store, report, and take action against mainframe events through integration with McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, McAfee’s Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technology.
With the ability to scale to hundreds of thousands of endpoints and centralize data for application access and elevation, it is now possible to create a workflow process that provides a holistic approach to privilege management and application security.
