Optimizing Security in the Data Center
The conventional method of deploying network security by adding more and more appliances to address the growing number of threats and vulnerabilities is simply not effective. As a result, the appliance farm is exploding and consequently putting pressure on capital costs, operational expenses, and energy consumption. Duplication of processing wastes data center space and makes fault diagnosis difficult. Security in the data center is simply too complex today and needs to be reconsidered.
Crossbeam and McAfee have partnered to address this challenge. We are downsizing the appliance farm and working together to consolidate network security in the data center, making the network more scalable and reliable — and that creates a more confident business. Crossbeam is able to achieve extraordinary consolidation by collapsing switches, routers, load balancers, appliances, and cables into one virtual platform — the X-Series.
