ENACTED The Swedish Personal Data Act (PDA) was enacted in 1998 to bring Swedish law into conformity with the requirements of the European Union (EU) Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC).[4] The PDA essentially incorporates the EU Data Protection Directive into Swedish law.
