As more businesses adopt cloud computing services, advantages ranging from cost reduction and company efficiency to employee satisfaction have become apparent. Love2Reward recently published an article explaining the way in which cloud products, including Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service, have improved working conditions for many employees across a variety of industries.

According to the source, the inherent flexibility that comes with SaaS and other cloud services has improved morale and motivation among employees in companies that have adopted the new IT practices. The website notes a study from iReach, which revealed nearly a third of surveyed companies already use some form of cloud computing, while around 14 percent have established a plan to make the transition soon.

"From an employee's perspective, they really get greater mobility - access to company tools from multiple devices when they are outside of the office, so they are not restricted to being at a desk," Nicola Mortimer, the head of Information and Communications Technology at a leading mobile phone and broadband provider, told the website.

More companies and individuals are expected to adopt cloud computing services in the coming years. According to the International Data Corporation, the cloud industry is projected to grow from a 600,000 unit and $3.8 billion industry in 2010 to 1.3 million units and $6.4 billion by 2014.
