Several businesses have joined forces to form the Cloud Computing Association, a business-to-business membership organization that will encourage cloud adoption among enterprises in all industries.

According to the CCA, the organization will "build a community of end-users and service providers of cloud-based solutions and products," while providing businesses with an opportunity to discuss, share and learn about enterprise cloud computing with other companies.
"The CLOUD is rapidly becoming the fuel that is powering business efficiency and growth, and we are providing our individual and corporate members with opportunities to exchange information and promote knowledge of how cloud-based technologies can streamline business processes, help businesses to expand more quickly into new markets, and save costs," said Don Buford, executive director of the CCA.The CCA will also hold large-scale conferences for businesses looking to discuss cloud adoption, while giving companies an opportunity to meet other organizations in their industry dealing with similar cloud-related issues and questions. The formation of a cloud computing resource for enterprises comes as cloud adoption is accelerating at an incredible pace. According to a recent survey, 61 percent of organizations are either currently devising a cloud strategy or already have one.
