But you\u2019re right to question why a messaging app like WhatsApp needs to know your whereabouts. On an iPhone, apps can track your location, but only after giving them access first. Here\u2019s how to check which apps can monitor your location:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Open the \u201cSettings\u201d app and click on \u201cPrivacy\u201d to see a list of apps that have requested access to your location data.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on \u201cLocation Services.\u201d This will show you every app that can request access to your location. You\u2019ll also see if you\u2019ve given any apps permission to track your location.
