Invariably, I fail. But this year, it\u2019s going to be different. I am going to nail it!!<\/p>\n<p>Here are my goals:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All presents to be purchased and wrapped by the December 10 (well, just about done!)<\/li>\n<li>All cards (handwritten this year) to be sent by the December 15 (all posted, tick!)<\/li>\n<li>Christmas Day Menu to be decided on by December 18 (it\u2019s coming together\u2026)<\/li>\n<li>Christmas party outfits to be sorted ASAP (although weather this week gives pause)<\/li>\n<li>Domestic life to be under control: all necessary help &amp; jobs sorted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So, how am I managing to pull this off? Well, by\u00a0using my favourite online sites and apps which I\u2019d love to share with you. Please note \u2013 these are my personal favourite sites and in no way endorsed by McAfee.<\/p>\n<h2><b><strong>Christmas Presents<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Here are my favourite online stores \u2013 in no particular order. I have used them all for presents \u2013 with great success. But remember, technology is top of everyone\u2019s wish list this year. So, make sure you check out the tech stores on the list too.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Myer.com.au \u2013 everything \u2013 free delivery over $100 \u2013 can collect in store.<\/li>\n<li>Surfstitch.com\u00a0\u2013 great clothes for teens \u2013 free delivery over $50.<\/li>\n<li>Priceline.com.au \u2013 free delivery over $100 \u2013 same deals as in store \u2013 love their fragrances!<\/li>\n<li>au.StrawberryNet.com\u00a0\u2013 the best online for anything beauty. Free worldwide delivery!<\/li>\n<li>BookDepository.com \u2013 my fave online bookstore. Free delivery! Hard to beat on price.<\/li>\n<li>Kogan.com.au \u2013 online department store \u2013 cheap.<\/li>\n<li>Etsy.com marketplace \u2013 amazing handmade unique items. Great for special gifts.<\/li>\n<li>Digital World International (dwidigitalcameras.com.au) \u2013 everything. Deal of the day. Definitely worth a look.<\/li>\n<li>JB Hi-Fi (jbhifi.com.au) \u2013 our family\u2019s fave tech place. Push them for a deal :)!!<\/li>\n<li>DealsDirect.com.au \u2013 you can often snag some great items here!<\/li>\n<li>Ebay.com.au\u00a0\u2013 anything is possible here. Watch out for their sales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b><strong>Christmas Cards<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>This year I\u2019m going retro and will be sending our cards in the mail, but I\u2019m a huge e-card fan. Whether you\u2019re doing \u2018snail mail\u2019 or email, these sites will help you get on track.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Smilebox.com \u2013 love, love, love.\u00a0E-cards, slideshows and you can also print your cards. Great site.<\/li>\n<li>Hallmarkecards.com \u2013 Hallmark e-cards are\u00a0 a great option too. I\u2019ve used them plenty of times.<\/li>\n<li>Vistaprint.com.au \u2013 If you want personalised paper cards, this is where you need to go. Often have fab deals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b><strong>Christmas Menus<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Jamie, Donna and Nigella are my \u2018go-to\u2019 guys for any sort of Christmas gathering. They never let me down. Here are some handy links to their best Christmas info and recipes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jamie Oliver (jamieoliver.com\/Christmas\/)\u00a0\u2013 Jamie has just launched a dedicated <em>Christmas Cookbook <\/em>which might be worth checking out. So hard to decide which to buy!<\/li>\n<li>Donna Hay (donnahay.com.au\/recipes\/occasions\/recipes-Christmas)\u00a0\u2013 We regularly have \u2018Donna\u2019 Christmases. Her food is simple and fabulous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b><strong>Where to buy?<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>A full fridge and wine cabinet will mean you can whip up your culinary masterpieces with no delay. Genius!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b><strong>Christmas Help<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Keeping domestic life in harmony is essential this time of the year. However with Santa gearing up for his biggest day of the year, it can often be hard to get good help. But never fear \u2013 there are some great online options. Here are some of my tried &amp; tested places \u2013 maybe look for something similar near you.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jugglestreet.com \u2013 great way to find a babysitter for Xmas events!<\/li>\n<li>FindABabysitter.com.au \u2013 another great online directory for child carers.<\/li>\n<li>Helpling.com.au \u2013 book a cleaner online.<\/li>\n<li>Airtasker.com \u2013 outsource your \u2018must-do\u2019 tasks \u2013 anything &amp; everything. A brilliant concept!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b><strong>Take Care You\u00a0Shop\u00a0Safely Online<\/strong><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Before you reach for your credit card, please remember to shop safe online and take note of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Type in the sites of the stores you want to shop from \u2013 don\u2019t click on links,\u00a0they could be fraudulent.<\/li>\n<li>Only buy from sites that display a padlock\/key symbol\u00a0and a \u2018https\u2019 at the start of the address.<\/li>\n<li>Check out the store\u2019s\u00a0Privacy Policy; if you\u2019re not happy with how they secure your information, don\u2019t shop there.<\/li>\n<li>Do NOT buy from sites that have typos or look \u2018dodgy\u2019. Follow your gut. If you are unsure of the legitimacy of a site, \u2018Google\u2019 it and check out the reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t use public Wi-Fi when shopping. A hacker may be waiting to intercept anything you share with the shopping site including your credit card information and private details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I know it seems a little overwhelming but I believe a calm and centred Christmas could actually be achievable. The experts say it\u2019s all about planning and time efficiency \u2013 a gene that I was not naturally blessed with!!
