The operator of the Safe Family service, including both the mobile application and online web application (collectively, the “Service”) is Intel Security with offices at 2200 Mission College Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95054 USA.
Under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), we are required to provide you a notice of our information collection practices before we collect any personal information from your child under 13. In this notice, we explain how we collect, use and disclose personal information from your children under 13 years old through the Service.
You may, at any time, tell us to not collect, use, or disclose personal information about your child under 13 by sending us a request through the Contact Us web form available here (in which case they will no longer be able to use our Service).
You may review the personal information we have collected from your child by logging in to the Service and reviewing your child’s activities through the Activity menu or by sending us a request as instructed above.
Information We Collect From Children
Before you or your child can use the Service, you, as the parent, must register with us by installing Safe Family on your device or computer, providing your name and email address, and setting a password. In order sign your child up, you must provide us their first name, select a security setting (high, medium, low or none), consent to our collection of personal information from them through the Service, and install the applicable software or application. Once you have completed these steps, we will collect and track the following information (which you can review at any time as explained above):
Use of Your Child’s Information
We collect and use personal information from children so that we can provide our Service and help parents manage their family’s digital lifestyle. We may also use your child’s information to respond to your inquiries and requests and, as part of an aggregated or de-identified data set, to analyze and improve our products and services or for other internal business purposes.
How We Disclose Children's Information
We do not sell children’s personal information, and a child may not make his or her personal information public through our Service. However, activity and location information, as well as communications may be shared with you and with other family members that you have added to your family group within the Service. We may compile, use and disclose aggregate or de-identified information that we collect about your child through our Service for advertising, research and analytical purposes; however, we will strip out names, contact information and other personal identifiers before we do so.
