A study of the international shortage in cybersecurity skills
The cybersecurity workforce shortfall remains a critical vulnerability for companies and nations. The Center for Strategic and International Studies conducted an eight-nation survey of IT decision makers, in both public and private sector organizations, across four dimensions of cybersecurity workforce development efforts:
- Total cybersecurity spending
- Education programs
- Employer dynamics
- Public policies
The study offers valuable information that can help companies and governments build a more robust and sustainable cybersecurity workforce with the needed skills. It also offers multiple concrete recommendations on how to improve the current cybersecurity skills deficit and enhance overall global cybersecurity.
