特徴
ロケーションフリー
インターネットによるサービス提供のため、管理対象のクライアントはもちろん、管理側もWebコンソールを実装、完全ロケーションフリーを実現しました。
メンテナンスフリー
McAfeeのデータセンタからプログラム、エンジン、ウイルス定義ファイルなどの全てのコンポーネントの更新やバージョンアップを自動的に行います。
管理サーバフリー
管理はMcAfeeのデータセンタで実施するため、導入の際に追加の管理サーバやソフトウェアは不要です。
ブラウザプロテクション
スパイウエアを配布していたり、隠しリンクが存在するようなサイトを訪問すると、Webブラウザのツールバーで赤や黄色のアイコンに変化して警告してくれるプラグイン「McAfee SiteAdvisor」が利用可能です。
機能
アンチウイルス対策
オンデマンドスキャンやオンアクセススキャンだけでなく、メモリー内のウイルスやワームのスキャン、Javascript/VBScriptのスキャンが可能。バッファオーバーフロープロテクション機能も提供。
管理サーバフリー
管理はMcAfeeのデータセンタで実施。追加の管理サーバやソフトウェアは不要です。
スパイウエア、アドウエア対策
スパイウエアの侵入、情報漏えいを未然に防止。
デスクトップファイアウォール
クライアントの通信を制御、マルウエアによる不正通信などをブロック。
Internet Independent Updating（IIU）
インターネットに接続していないクライアントでもOK。LAN内のリレーサーバから必要なアップデートを取得。
ルーモア（Rumor）技術
ウイルス定義ファイルをクライアント間でPtoP配信。定義ファイルのダウンロードの集中によるネットワーク負荷を大きく軽減。
