AV-Test Endpoint Security Test Results

It’s no surprise why millions of endpoints have moved to McAfee security — protection and performance. McAfee just blew past the competition in independent real-world enterprise performance testing conducted by AV-Test*.

Real-world testing conducted by AV-Test revealed the following highlights:

• McAfee took less than half the time to perform critical security functions as Symantec and one fourth that of Trend Micro
• McAfee was ranked #1 in performance comparison tests conducted by AV-Test

McAfee commissioned AV-Test, a well-respected independent security testing organization, to perform head-to-head testing of McAfee’s VirusScan Enterprise® v8.8 and Host Intrusion Prevention v8.0 against five of the main anti-malware competitors in the market. AV-Test used their own methodology designed to simulate real end user activity, such as startup, download files, application startup, scanning, shutdown, etc. The results show McAfee to have the least performance impact of any product tested.
